1. Safa Park

Safa Park is the most popular park in Dubai which brags 61 hectares of manicured grass, trees and lakes, that makes it a true haven offering the perfect escape from the hustling life of the city. Safa Park’s is located at the gateway between old and new Dubai which makes it even more popular recreational spot. At Safa Park, you can relax in the shade of one of the hundreds of trees that are grown against the mesmerizing backdrop of Dubai’s dramatic skyscrapers including the Burj Khalifa.

Facilities here include multiple playgrounds, women’s area, toilets and a fun fare based at the Al Wasl Road located at the end of the park. You are also advised to first plan what you want to do in the park and settle accordingly, because if you get this wrong it can result in a long walk. Being located at a prime location, Safa Park is extremely popular. And on weekends or holidays, you have to get there early to grab a barbecue pit and a parking space, as it will be crowded.

2. Al-Mamzar Beach Park

Located directly on the beach at the edge of the Emirates of Dubai and Sharjah, the Al Mamzar Park is quaint and offers several self-service barbecues for visitors – so be sure to arrive early to find one at the shadow. In addition to its green surroundings, you will find cabanas for rent on the private beach of Al Mamzar Park, as well as a swimming pool, making it an ideal place for a family weekend.

Mamzar Beach Park is one of Dubai’s best shoreline stop. It is absolutely massive- so big you can drive your car in! It has acres of open grassland and 5 beaches as well as a huge outdoor swimming pool. It’s perfect for barbeques and picnics. 3. Al Barsha Park

There is no reason to break your sports routine during your stay in Dubai. Al-Barsha Park is one of the newest parks in Dubai and it is a part of the greening of Dubai Pond Parks Project. Al Barsha Pond Park is proving to be very popular with local residents. Located within walking distance of the Mall of the Emirates shopping mall, this city park surrounds a large pond with fountains, a rugged track, sports facilities, a basketball court, a tennis court, a playground for Children, an inflatable castle, as well as bicycles and kartings for hire.

This park is really very friendly and resonates a real sense of multicultural community – so it is not unusual to see locals and expatriates walking, sporting or picnicking, all in good company. The Al Barsha shopping center is just at a 5-minute walk from here, from where you can stock up on croissants and baguettes at the French Bakery.

4. Za’abeel Park

This large park seems to attract people from around the world due to its location in the center of old Dubai. You can go there with the family to discover the various attractions – including a bike trail, a children’s educational center, a playground, a lake where boat rentals are available and a small train that runs through the park full of happy children behind their parents.

Whether you want to observe the birds or just take a leisurely stroll, Zabeel Park will meet all your expectations. The flea market in Dubai is also held in a section of the park every first Friday of the month (during the day in winter and in the evening in summer). 5. Mushrif Park

Located in Deira within the area of Mushrif at a drive of 15 km from the city center of Dubai; Mushrif Park certainly worth a visit. The park has acres of woodland as it was originally a ghaf forest and can be/ needs to be driven around really. Mushrif Park has an international village which contains 13 models of Arabic and English houses.

The park also contains of amusing and entertaining services such as electronic entertaining games, pool services, swimming pools, excursion and barbeque services, bicycle track, restaurants and canteens, planet’s cover and green areas, park’s theater, train ride service, children’s games areas and football field artificial grass. There is also a small zoo with goats and you can also ride a camel or ponies there. It’s a great place for family picnics as well as to stroll under shady trees.

6. The Burj Park

Nestled directly under the Burj Khalifa and close to some of the city’s most popular sites such as the Dubai Mall and the Al Bahar Souk, The Burj Park allows you to spend hours watching the passers-by and their pets. The beautiful, lush green landscape offers several small trails, and this part of the city is also one of the most pleasant for pedestrians. You can also rent a bike at the entrance and walk to the Old Town (a modern neighborhood designed as a traditional town).

7. Creek Park

Located in the heart of the old city Dubai Creek Park is a beautiful gem shelled on the shores of Dubai Creek. Being one of the oldest parks in Dubai, the Creek Park is equally popular today as it was then. You will always find this park filled with families at the weekends and in the evenings. The park has the benefit of being in the cool breeze from the creek and also has loads of plants and greenery along with mazes and a nature trail. There are also barbeque areas and children’s play areas spotted throughout the park as well as the Children City Centre and Dubai Dolphinarium.

You can also ride the cable car, miniature train and rent bikes here and can also bring your own food for a picnic or a barbeque. There is also a paved walk along the creek shore which is perfect for roller skating, as it is a large stone amphitheater area.

8. Al Rashidiya Park

Although small in are as compared to other enormous parks in Dubai, Al Rashidiya Park is a small family park that is quite close to Dubai International Airport and next to Rashidiya Metro Station on Dubai Airport Road. It is a quiet calming and relaxing park than some and is great for a family outing.

Al Rashidiya Park is famous for its equipped playground areas for the kids and plenty of seating in the shade for the grown- ups. You can also combine your visit with a trip to Bin Sougat Centre for a nice afternoon out. There is a small entry fee and Wednesday’s and Saturday’s are for ladies and children only.

9. Satwa Park

Situated behind the Al Moosa Towers on Sheikh Zayed Road, the Satwa Park is an inner city park which has lots of green and shady areas, places to sit and relax, kids’ playgrounds, football pitches, basketball courts, volleyball courts and tennis courts. There is also a proper, rubber running and jogging track for all the fitness freaks which is almost 6 meters wide and slightly raised, so that you see into the park while running round the outside. There is also situated a lovely central plaza with a fountain surrounded by palm trees which is a lovely place to sit, relax and to read something inspiring.

10. Umm Suqeim Park

Umm Suqeim Park is a small park is situated near to Jumeirah Beach Hotel and is a lovely green space to spend time in. It is a family park and only women and children are allowed in during the week. Men are allowed in with their families at weekends though. So a great park if you want some peace and quiet away from the eyes of men. There is a small beach, a small café and children’s play areas. Not a whole day park but good for a few hours getaway in the morning or afternoon. It is located on the shore just before you get to the open beach that leads to the Burj Al Arab.
